Look, I'm the first to admit that I'm generally a "clean/fresh/light" fragrance girl. 1979 Oceanique is my lifelong favourite! 1942 Velvet Petals is a departure for me but gosh I'm glad I've made it! I wasn't alive in 1942 but when I have this candle going in my bedroom, the first thing that springs to mind is a traditional old-school perfume. Not a heavy cloying one, but something that my elegant grandmother might have spritzed on with a white linen dress and pearls.
The sillage on this candle is just fabulous. I have a big open-plan house and I can have this burning in my bedroom with all the doors and windows open, and smell it downstairs. I absolutely adore it for this reason, but it miiiiight be too strong for some.
Probably my favourite thing about 1942 Velvet Petals, though, is the jar! It is STUNNING! If you head to the Circa Home facebook page, I actually posted a picture of the lit jar because it is just so pretty. The pattern really comes alive when the candle is lit. In some ways, I'm looking forward to finishing the candle so I can re-use the jar. Oh, and the lid is shiny silver instead of the usual CH wooden lid. So pretty!
You'll love this if you love white floral fragrances and if you'd like your home to smell womanly and elegant.
My favourite thing about this product is:
Its vintagey perfume vibe
Yes, I'd happily recommend this product
